About

Dr. Carlye Schulte is a specialist in Hospital Medicine at the University of Washington Medical Center.

Dr. Schulte is a native Texan, who earned her bachelor's degree from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville and went on to earn her M.D. from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston- McGovern Medical School. She completed a combined residency program in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics from UTHSC at Houston- McGovern Medical School, and was a Chief resident for her residency program. Throughout residency and medical school, she was interested in global health, nutrition, health education, gastroenterology, and community health policy. She continued on as a clinical faculty in hospital medicine for the Internal Medicine and Pediatrics department, enjoying academic medicine and the active learning environment provided in the field. She was in this role for almost two years, prior to joining UWMC- Internal Medicine Dept, Division of Cardiology as a clinical faculty in hospital medicine.
