Are Women’s Hearts Different Than Men’s Hearts?

GRAND ROUND OBJECTIVES

• To understand the sex differences in patients with cardiovascular disease.

• To review the guidelines for preventing and treating heart disease in women

• To review sex-specific issues such as pregnancy and menopause that affect the cardiovascular system.
